OVI / DUI
|
Known by multiple acronyms including DUI, OVI, OMVI and DWI, a drunk driving conviction results in serious consequences: increased insurance rates, points on your driving record, a driver's license suspension, yellow license plates, vehicle immobilization, and even a mandatory jail sentence. If you are concerned about the effects of a DUI / OVI conviction, I can usually help minimize or eliminate those effects. You could receive a three-day alcohol program instead of jail time. You could avoid yellow license plates and immobilization of your vehicle. If your driver’s license was suspended, you could have your license reinstated or obtain limited driving privileges. You may be able to resolve your case without having an OVI conviction on your record. I am an experienced OVI lawyer in the central Ohio area. I have undergone training in field sobriety testing, I have studied the science of evidential alcohol testing (blood/breath/urine), and I have been trained on breath testing machines used in Ohio. I regularly participate in local and national seminars for DUI law, and I have been a speaker at such seminars. |
